Simon helps Jesus to carry the Cross

Focus: Save life by removing ignorance and Illiteracy

Leader: We adore you oh Christ and we praise you!

All: Because by your holy Cross, you have redeemed the world!

Jesus, by the example of his very life, showed his disciples how to live their lives in service to humanity and to lead others to their way of life.

At the time of his last supper with them he instructed them thus: “Do this in memory of me” (Lk 22:19). He enabled his disciples to understand the mystery of eternal life. It was his great desire that after his death, the Church must take up the task of teaching the Word and be witness to the kingdom of God. (Pause for meditation)

Prayer: Jesus, several parents are ignorant of their God-given duty to save the life of their unborn babies. Obviously, they are not aware of the presence of the Holy Spirit whom you have breathed into them.

Today we do need many, many Simons to help such erring parents to save lives and avoid falling into the grave sin of abortion. Give our priests, religious and social workers the strength and courage they need to educate the masses on the evils of abortion and to propagate respect for human life.

Hail Mary, full of grace ....
