The Gospel According to Matthew Chapter 17:1-27
Matthew 17:1 After six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, and led them up a high mountain by themselves.
Matthew 17:2 And he was transfigured before them; his face shone like the sun and his clothes became white as light.
Matthew 17:3 And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, conversing with him.
Matthew 17:4 Then Peter said to Jesus in reply, "Lord, it is good that we are here. If you wish, I will make three tents here, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah."
Matthew 17:5 While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud cast a shadow over them, then from the cloud came a voice that said, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him."
Matthew 17:6 When the disciples heard this, they fell prostrate and were very much afraid.
Matthew 17:7 But Jesus came and touched them, saying, "Rise, and do not be afraid."................

The Gospel According to Matthew Chapter 18:1-35
Matthew 18:1 At that time the disciples approached Jesus and said, "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?"
Matthew 18:2 He called a child over, placed it in their midst,
Matthew 18:3 and said, "Amen, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 18:4 Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 18:5 And whoever receives one child such as this in my name receives me.
Matthew 18:6 "Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.
Matthew 18:7 Woe to the world because of things that cause sin! Such things must come, but woe to the one through whom they come!............

The Gospel According to Matthew Chapter 19:1-30
Matthew 19:1 When Jesus finished these words, he left Galilee and went to the district of Judea across the Jordan.
Matthew 19:2 Great crowds followed him, and he cured them there.
Matthew 19:3 Some Pharisees approached him, and tested him, saying, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any cause whatever?"
Matthew 19:4 He said in reply, "Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator 'made them male and female'
Matthew 19:5 and said, 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'?
Matthew 19:6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, no human being must separate."
Matthew 19:7 They said to him, "Then why did Moses command that the man give the woman a bill of divorce and dismiss (her)?"..............

Kings and Gold Coins
Meditation On Luke 19:11-28
While they were listening to Jesus speak, he proceeded to tell a parable because he was near Jerusalem and they thought that the kingdom of God would appear there immediately. So he said, "A nobleman went off to a distant country to obtain the kingship for himself and then to return. He called ten of his servants and gave them ten gold coins and told them, ´Engage in trade with these until I return.´ His fellow citizens, however, despised him and sent a delegation after him to announce, ´We do not want this man to be our king.´ But when he returned after obtaining the kingship, he had the servants called, to whom he had given the money, to learn what they had gained by trading. The first came forward and said, ´Sir, your gold coin has earned ten additional ones.´ He replied, ´Well done, good servant! You have been faithful in this very small matter; take charge of ten cities.´ Then the second came and reported, ´Your gold coin, sir, has earned five more.´ And to this servant too he said, ´You, take charge of five cities.......

Jesus Is My Guest
Meditation On Luke 19:1-10
Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through it. A man was there named Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was rich. He was trying to see who Jesus was, but on account of the crowd he could not, because he was short in stature. So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore tree to see him, because he was going to pass that way. When Jesus came to the place, he looked up and said to him, "Zacchaeus, hurry and come down; for I must stay at your house today." So he hurried down and was happy to welcome him. All who saw it began to grumble and said, "He has gone to be the guest of one who is a sinner." Zacchaeus stood there and said to the Lord, "Look, half of my possessions, Lord, I will give to the poor; and if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I will pay back four times as much." Then Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because he too is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek out and to save the lost."....
